Southern Charm + British Wit Converge
in Rustic Modern Statement Pieces
Integrating British wit and Southern charm, both in their personal lives and in the manufacturing of their reclaimed wood vanities, Les and Olivia Streeton exemplify what creativity, love, and a purposeful drive can accomplish. Together, they delightfully offer the widest selection of handcrafted vanities made of distinctively aged, reclaimed wood and natural stone available in the United States.
The genesis of Vanity Resource began in Northamptonshire, England, where Les owned a reclaimed wood cabinet manufacturing company for more than 20 years. While introducing his creative take on reclaimed cabinetry at the International High Point Furniture Market in the early 2000’s, Les met Kentucky-born Olivia, herself a long-time furniture industry maven. Thus, in High Point, N.C., the furniture capital of the world, sparks flew and a wonderful collaboration formed.
Working side by side, the couple began designing, manufacturing, and selling bathroom vanities of solid wood reclaimed from floors, walls, and moldings of 100-year-old buildings.

One of a Kind Statement Pieces
“Each vanity is a one-of-a-kind statement piece that can transform your room,” said Olivia. Added Les, “The main way to increase the value and appeal of your home is through the kitchen or bath. While a kitchen remodel can be a huge undertaking and expense, you can completely transform a bathroom with a new vanity simply and affordably.”
Because the vanities are crafted of solid wood reclaimed from vintage barns and cabins, as well as flooring from former factories and mills, each piece is one of a kind. “The wood has aged naturally through the years and has its own unique character,” Les said. “The result”, added Olivia, is like “a piece of art.”
Reclaimed Pine, Elm and Oak Exude Genuine Character
Most of Vanity Resource’s line is crafted of pine, a wood type that offers natural knots and character with an authentic and inviting look. Some pieces are made of Elm or Oak, which both exhibit character through decorative grain patterns. These rediscovered woods are like earthly treasures to be preserved and admired. The recovered, vintage woods offer beauty, warmth, and authenticity for your home.
We offer three finishes: Natural, a rich medium brown tone; Wash, a driftwood color with gray undertones and a whitewash topcoat; and Waxed, a finish with a matte sheen that emphasizes the character and age marks on the furniture.
Uncompromising Quality
In addition to offering the widest variety of reclaimed wood vanity styles in the U.S., Vanity Resource also offers exceptional value. “We have a high-end product, premier quality, and incomparable personal service, all at an affordable price,” said Les. Quality features include English dovetail drawers, smooth and solid-wood drawer interiors, tongue-and-groove construction, and traditional mitered plinths, or bases, for structural integrity.
TLC Service
At the heart of Vanity Resource’s service philosophy is love. And the goal of their customer service is simple: take the stress away. “We love our customers and genuinely want all of them to be happy,” said Olivia. “This is a major purchase, and we want to help our customers be comfortable. The process doesn’t have to be stressful. We personally walk with them every step of the way. We answer all questions thoroughly and follow up as needed.” Often, as Olivia and Les journey with their customers toward the installation of a statement piece, “A true friendship develops,” she said. “We love when customers send photos of our pieces in their room. It’s so exciting to see the beauty of what they have accomplished, and we’re thrilled to become a part of their home.”
Modernly Rustic Lighting
In addition to its extensive line of reclaimed wood vanities, Vanity Resource offers approximately 25 reproduction ceiling lights and 20 wall sconces in traditional, vintage, and rustic modern styles. Finishes include antique iron, antique rust, and distressed gold.
Environmental Stewardship and Sustainability
Because Vanity Resource upcycles wood from vintage buildings, the character-filled woods are preserved to be admired for generations rather than simply wasted. As a result, the company is not only preserving history in beautifully weathered and unique materials, it is practicing sustainability and environmental stewardship, helping to preserve the earth’s beauty and natural resources for future generations.
